Best Edition Blood Royal with Free EASY Reading!

I've read Lawrence Ellsworth's translations of "The Three Musketeers" and "Twenty Years After" (split into two volumes), and give them my highest recommendation. Alexandre Dumas is a writer who has been badly served by his translators in the past--read in those older translations, he comes off as stuffy and slow, but he was actually a writer of high-octane popular fiction, moving swiftly from one exciting plot point to another. Ellsworth brings that light, lively touch to his work, and infuses Dumas with the thrilling pace and witty dialogue that were so compelling to his readers in the 19th century. If you've been hesitant to read Dumas, I implore you to read these Ellsworth translations of the Musketeer saga. They are as good as it gets.
